The B'AI Global Forum will hold an event to celebrate the publication of the book, "Understanding AI in Society: How Technology Exerts Power 2023" (Japanese only : AIから読み解く社会——権力化する最新技術), which examines AI technologies from the perspective of various fields including sociology, philosophy, and engineering. The event will be held to introduce the contents of the book through reports by the authors and discussions with commentators, as well as to discuss AI technology critically from multiple perspectives. All those interested are welcome to attend.
“Understanding AI in Society: How Technology Exerts Power” is a book compiled and published last March by Professor Yuko Itatsu and Associate Professor Ai Hisano of the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies.
Professor Itatsu is the research leader of the basic research project “B’AI Global Forum: Research on norms, ethics and praxis for a truly gender equal society and a guarantee of rights for minorities in the AI age”.
